British Military Facilities to Host Refugee Applicants in Bid to Terminate Hotel Use
Numerous refugee applicants may be placed in military barracks as the government works to end the utilization of hotels.
Talks are ongoing regarding the utilization of two facilities - a facility in Scotland and a second in the southern England - for shelter for nine hundred males.
The PM has directed Domestic Affairs and Defense Department authorities to speed up initiatives to locate suitable armed forces locations.
The government has vowed to terminate the use of temporary hotel accommodations, which have consumed billions in funds and emerged as a central issue for anti-migrant protests.
Under Consideration Defense Locations
Individuals could be placed in the Cameron Barracks in the Scottish city and East Sussex training site in southeastern England by the conclusion of the coming month.
Manufacturing locations, interim housing and vacant properties are also being examined for possible utilization.
Administration Assurances
Authoritative figures confirmed that each location would meet health and safety standards.
"The government remains extremely concerned at the scale of illegal migrants and asylum hotels."
"This government will shut down each temporary accommodation facility. Efforts are advancing rapidly, with better facilities being proposed to alleviate strain on communities and decrease asylum costs."
Existing Housing Statistics
Around 32 thousand individuals seeking protection are presently being housed in hotel facilities, representing a decrease from a high point of more than 56,000 in last year.
A recent report found that multiple billions of government revenue had been "wasted" on refugee housing.
Prior Defense Facility Usage
Two former military sites - MDP Wethersfield in southeastern England and Napier Barracks in the southern county - are currently being utilized to shelter refugee applicants after being commissioned under the prior leadership.
The administration head remarked on the circumstances, stating: "I am committed to shut down every refugee hotel. I can't tell you how troubled and alarmed I am that we've been left with a situation as big as the current circumstances by the last government."
